Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1978

Pat Higgins PATRICIA JEAN HIGGINS, 65, of Jupiter, FL, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grand- mother, sister and loyal friend, passed away peace- fully in the arms of her loving husband Paul on July 23rd, 2025. Over the course of the past 36 years, Sweet Patricia waged a warrior's battle with 3 separate cancer diagnoses with remarkable strength, courage, grace, and an unwavering faith in Jesus. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. Patricia was a native of Ranger, TX, the youngest child of Melba & Alvord Higgins. She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1978. Texas was her home, her family, her heritage, and although she moved away from Texas, she took her trademark big Texas smile with her everywhere she went. Patricia had a passion for gardening from a young age, and after a very successful career in corporate sales she switched careers and became a Florida Master Gardener. She built a thriving business as a highly sought after landscape architect and estate gardener on Palm Beach and Jupiter Island. Every day she made the world a more beautiful place. In addition to her husband Paul, Patricia is survived by her son Paul L. Bryan and his wife Sydney of Ocean Springs, MS; her husband's children Paul Alexander and his wife Audrey of Shenyang, China, (She adored her Pauls!); Meghan Farrelly and her husband Ciarán of Indian Trail, NC; her 9 grandchildren whom she adored: Kristian, Trinity, Nathaniel, Eisele, Case, Emmet, Winnie, William and Ethan; and her great- granddaughter Khlani. Patricia is also survived by her two brothers, Michael Higgins (RHS-1978) & his wife, Jeanette, of Gatesville, TX, and Darren Bryan (RHS-1995) of Benbrook, TX; her sister & best friend Mary Higgins Haynes (RHS-1978) of Stephenville, TX; sister-in-law Dr. Linda Hall Richey of Cookeville, TN and many adored nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her adored big Brother Dr. David Dean Richey (RHS-1961). Patricia was a One-in-a-Million woman who lived her amazing life by the Irish Claddagh of Friendship, Love and Loyalty.
