AURELIO ALANIS, 42, passed away too soon on
Jan. 11, 2026 in Carlsbad, NM, with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Aurelio was born on March 15, 1983 in Jerecuaro,
Guanajuato, Mexico, to Manuel Alanis & Catalina
Sanchez-Alanis. He attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 2002 in Ranger.
Aurelio was a father, son, brother, and friend.
He worked as a lineman for 14 years, a career he
was deeply proud of and dedicated to. Known for
his strong work ethic & dependable nature, Aurelio
was admired by his colleagues and community alike.
Beyond his work, Aurelio found joy in the simple
yet meaningful moments of life. He loved spending
time with his family, singing and dancing, and
sharing laughter with those around him. His warmth,
kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in the
hearts of everyone who knew him.
Aurelio is survived by his loving parents, Manuel
& Catalina Alanis; his sons, Humberto & Jose Alanis;
and his siblings, Valentin, Juan, Samuel Alanis
(RHS-2009), and Maria Alanis (RHS-2017). He also
leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored
him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Raquel
Alanis, uncle, Hilario Sanchez, nephew, Angel Alanis,
and his paternal grandparents, Epifanio and Aurelia
Alanis, as well as his maternal grandparents, Leonardo
& Antonia Sanchez.
Aurelio's life was a testament to love, hard work, and
family devotion. His memory will forever be carried in
the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest
in eternal peace.
FATHER: MANUEL ALANIS, 67, of Ranger, TX, who
passed away peacefully after a long & courageous seven-
year battle with brain cancer, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Manuel was born Dec. 17, 1958 in El Clarin, Guanajuato,
Mexico, to Epifanio Alaniz & Aurelia Eguia Alanis, who
both preceded him in death.
Manuel was a loving & devoted husband, father, grandfather,
brother, and friend. He dedicated his life to his family
and was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit,
and caring nature. He was a devoted Catholic whose faith
guided the way he lived and treated others. Manuel foun
happiness in the simple things in life; such as caring
for his farm animals, listening to music, and creating
lasting memories with his children and grandchildren. He
especially treasured spending summers and Christmases in
his hometown in Mexico, surrounded by loved ones & family
traditions.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aurelio Alanis; his
grandson, Angel Alanis; his sisters, Raquel Alanis and
Maria de Jesus Alanis; and his parents, Epifanio and
Aurelia Alanis.
Manuel leaves behind his beloved wife, Catalina Alanis;
his children, Valentin Alanis, Juan Alanis, Samuel Alanis,
and Maria Alanis; his grandchildren and great-grandson;
along with his siblings and many nieces and nephews who
will continue to cherish his memory.
Manuel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for
his faith, kindness, humility, and the unconditional love
he shared with everyone around him. His legacy will live
on through the many lives he touched.
