HUGH P. BARRY SR., 84, a wonderful father,
grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on
June 10, 2009, with interment at Memory Gardens of
the Valley.
Hugh Barry Sr. was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Beaumont,
TX to Ray & Lynn Barry. He attended Ranger High
School in the Class of 1942 at Ranger, TX. He had
been a resident of Weatherford for 23 years. Hugh
was married to the former Ozie Sims for 55 years.
He was employed by Gulf Pipeline Company & Chevron
Pipeline for more than 45 years and was a member
of the Chevron Retirees Club. Hugh enjoyed his
large family, numerous close friends, cowboy coffee
and storytelling.
Hugh was preceded in death by his wife, Ozie, in
2000; son, James Anthony Barry, in 1970; his parents;
and brother, Raymond Barry.
Survivors: Sons, Hugh Barry Jr. and wife, Linda, of
Colorado, Robert Barry and wife, Linna, of Oklahoma
City, OK, Richard Barry and wife, Chris, of Sugar
Land, Steve Barry and wife, Robin, of Corinth;
daughter, Rita Sharp & husband, Barry, of Houston;
13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces, nephews & a host of loving family.
